项目摘要

「工科学生のための語句拡張方式による英作文CAI教材」の研究開発を、平成7年度の1年間にわたって行った。Part1「語句拡張方式による英作文問題」(設問数12ユニット×20題=240題)を、変形生成文法理論を参考にし、作成形式としては「文法事項型」に拠って作成し、プログラミングを終えた。しかし、Part1のプログラミング作業の際に、1つの問題点が生じて、当初予定していたPart2「総合英作文問題」(応用問題)のプログラミング作成が、困難となった。その問題点とは、学生による英作文問題の学習が英文そのものとしてではなくて、番号(番号付きの語句が与えられていて、番号を並び変えることによって日本語の文を表す英文を作る形式になっている)によってなされる可能性があるということである。ある英作文問題を行った学生が他の学生にその問題の答え(番号)を教えるという事態、あるいは、学生がある英作文問題を再度行った場合に、前回に行ったときの答え(番号)の暗記やノートでの書き写しといった事態が起こる可能性が十分ある。実際に、このような場合には、学生の英作文の学習の効果は薄弱となる。それ故、プログラミングにおける工夫の必要が起こった。検討した結果、番号の付いた語句を時間の経過とともに「乱数的に」変化させる(答えも、その変化につれて異なったものになる)操作をPart1のプログラミングに加えることにした。このため、アルバイト学生の時間的労働的な制約から、Part2の作成が困難となった。このPart2の作成に関しては、今後の研究開発として実現を図りたいと考えている。なお、「工科学生のための語句拡張方式による英作文CAI教材」(Part1基礎編)の研究開発の成果を冊子として作成し、各方面からの意見を聞く予定である。
