本課題は、体制変動開始から十数年を経た現在の視角から、旧ソ連・東欧地域での体制転換過程を政治と経済の両面から総合的に比較研究を行うことを目的とし、複数国を対象とする政治経済システムの形成や諸政策領域に関する具体的な制度形成などの比較研究を行い、また比較を強く意識した1か国を対象とする個別実証研究を積み上げた。併せて、計画に沿って選挙・政党データベースの作成や若手研究者を対象とする研究プログラムを実施した。

This topic is a comparative study on the process of institutional change in Eastern Europe, political and economic integration, and the formation of political and economic systems in a number of countries, as well as on specific institutional formation in various policy areas.
