项目摘要

本年度は、英国における伝統木造建築技術の保存状況及びその継承のための取り組みを確認する目的で、下記の通り現地調査を実施した。また、日本の木造建築技術について、資料調査を通してその保護制度に関する情報収集を行った。1.英国における伝統木造建築技術に関する現地調査（2018（平成30）年4月23日～27日）：ウェスト・サセックス州のウェールド・アンド・ダウンランド野外博物館（Weald & Downland Open Air Museum）において実施された木工技術研修を対象とし、研修の内容となる伝統木工技術の特徴、研修の体制及び研修が開催されるようになった経緯、講師と研修生の経歴について調査を行った。2.英国における木造建築遺産保存に関する現地調査（2018（平成30）年4月28日～5月3日）：イングランド南東部・東部（ウェスト・サセックス州、イースト・サセックス州、ケント州、オックスフォードシャー州、エセックス州）を中心に、木造建築遺産の残存状況、その保存の方法及び修理履歴に関して調査を行った。3.日本の木造建築技術に関する資料調査：選定保存技術制度の背景と成立過程、国庫の支援による技術研修の体制、及び近世規矩術の保存継承の現状を中心に調査を行った。なお、2018（平成30）年6月以降は、本研究課題を「伝統的木造建築技術の保存継承に関する日欧比較研究」（若手研究）に発展させて研究を継続した。

This year, the preservation status of traditional wood building technology in the UK and the selection of new materials are confirmed. The following is a summary of the on-site investigation. Information collection related to Japanese wooden building technology, data survey and protection system 1. Field survey on traditional wood building technology in the UK (April 23 - 27, 2018): The Weald & Downland Open Air Museum conducts research on the characteristics, system and development of traditional woodworking technology, and on the training of instructors and trainees. 2. Field Survey on Preservation of Wooden Building Heritage in the United Kingdom (April 28-May 3, 2018): Survey on Preservation of Wooden Building Heritage, Methods of Preservation and Repair of Wooden Building Heritage in the Central and Eastern Regions of the United Kingdom. 3. Data survey on wood construction technology in Japan: background and establishment process of selected preservation technology system, treasury support system, technical training system, and current situation of preservation of modern technology. Since June 2018, this research project has been developed as a "Japanese-European Comparative Study on the Preservation of Traditional Wooden Building Technology"(Wakata Research).
