高磁場を用いる結晶粒子の配向した高密度透明セラミックス開発をとおして、結晶粒子配向技術に関わる基礎、配向体の特性、透明体を得るための条件等について検討を行った。粒子配向した高密度かつ透光性をもつ非鉛系強誘電セラミックスの開発に成功し、重要特性の一つである圧電性は無配向体の3倍程度となったが、透明体の実現までには至らなかった。
