A study of measurement scale and developmental process of competence in nursing practice.

本研究旨在编制护理专业本科护士胜任力量表，并探讨护理专业本科护士胜任力在护理实践中的发展过程。首先，我们对临床护理实践能力进行了概念化。其次，本研究在对临床护理能力自评量表（CNCSS）的内容、结构、同时效度和信度进行检验后，编制了64个条目的CNCSS。一个横断面调查进行了使用CNCSS的护士1至5年的经验（有效的答复数为1498从52家医院）。结果表明：1年制护士与2年制护士在胜任力水平上存在差异，说明2年制护士胜任力水平在前2年有所提高。通过定量和定性的纵向研究，明确了临床护理前两年能力发展的内容。

The aim of this research is to develop a scale for measuring competencies of nurses who have bachelor's degree in nursing, and to identify their developmental process of competencies in nursing practice. First, we conceptualized competencies of clinical nursing practice. Next we have developed Clinical Nursing Competence Self-assessment Scale (CNCSS) (64-items) after its content, construct, concurrent validities, and reliability had been examined. A cross-sectional survey was carried out using CNCSS for nurses with one to five years of experience (the number of valid responses was 1498 from 52 hospitals). The result shows that there was a gap in competencies levels between the nurses with one-year experience and those with two-year experience, which indicates that their competencies improve in the first two years. The content of their competency development in the first two years in clinical nursing became clear through a quantitative and qualitative longitudinal study.
