项目摘要

令和3年度は、研究課題の細目である「明治期における賀田の経歴と人的ネットワーク形成過程」のほか、新たなテーマとして、地域史の文脈から朝鮮南部と九州の間における移住と産業侵奪の問題について研究を進めた。しかし前年度と同様、新型コロナウィルスによる海外渡航制限もあり、できる限り分析対象を日本の地域と人物に絞って論点を整理した。また。オンラインで閲覧可能な各コクのデジタルアーカイブを積極活用した。令和3年の春から夏にかけて山口県や福岡県、長崎県の公共図書館を中心に賀田関連の文献資料を収集しつつ、現地踏査を行った。また、日本の植民地進出を地域の動向から考える一環として、壱岐島や五島列島などの地域を訪問した。こちらの調査を通じ、朝鮮半島と西日本島嶼地域の関係について理解を深めることができた。秋以降は日本で２回、韓国で１回の学会報告を行った。これまでの成果を公開するとともに、多様な専攻の研究者からフィードバックを受ける機会となった。現在はこれらの内容を踏まえ、それぞれのテーマを論文原稿の形に取りまとめている。まず賀田と関連しては、彼が日本・台湾の経験を経て朝鮮観を確立し、そこから朝鮮開発に取り組む過程を連続的に把握しようとした。一方、地域史の研究では、近代福岡の朝鮮移住と漁業浸透というテーマを題材とし、資本家と民衆、そして行政側の有機的な動きによって地域レベルでの植民地進出が行われたことを明らかにした。
