The purpose of this study was to assess the amount of abortion care content included in Japanese language nursing Textbooks and to examine the inclusion and extent of abortion education in accredited nurse practitioner, nurse-midwifery, and public health nurse in Japan. AS compared with USA in abortion care education, Japan is well behind. Nursing educators in Japan should introduce textbooks and guideline with abortion care information that will prepare registered nurses, nurse-midwifery, and public health nurse to improve the abortion care and to apply these concepts to their nursing roles through abortion care counseling and woman care.

本研究的目的是评估日语护理教科书中包含的堕胎护理内容的数量，并检查日本合格执业护士、护士助产士和公共卫生护士中堕胎教育的内容和范围。与美国相比，日本在堕胎护理教育方面远远落后。日本的护理教育工作者应该引进带有堕胎护理信息的教科书和指南，帮助注册护士、助产士和公共卫生护士改进堕胎护理，并通过堕胎护理咨询和妇女护理将这些概念应用到他们的护理角色中。
