项目摘要

これまでに経験したことがない新しい問題に直面したとき、人はしばしば他者からアドバイスを受ける正しい解を得ようとする。こうした、社会的な情報に基づく意思決定(社会学習とも呼ばれる)において、人々が用いる戦略として、多数派同調戦略とベスト・メンバー戦略がある。本研究の目的は、環境構造に応じて人々が適応的に2つの戦略を使い分けていることを実証する事にある。本年度は、2つの実験と1つのコンピュータ・シミュレーション研究を実施した。コンピュータ・シミュレーション研究を通じて、本研究の出発点となったKamedaとその同僚による一連の理論研究では、重要なパラメータ領域が恣意的に制約されていたこと、また、そのために「ほぼ全ての状況において多数派同調戦略がベスト・メンバー戦略の成績を凌駕する」というKamedaらの主張には重大な瑕疵があることが明らかとなった。1つの実験研究では、本年度に実施したコンピュータ・シミュレーション研究の前提の妥当性を検証した。また、もう1つの実験研究では、場面想定法を用いて、人々の判断の相関が高い場面では、多数派よりも少数の有能な専門家の意見に影響されやすいとする仮説を検証した。
