本研究の目的は、交渉に関する理論的枠組みとして、適応的譲歩戦略という枠組みが有効であることを示すことである。昨年度は、コンピュータ・シミュレーションを実施し、本研究の主張する枠組みが、Ohtsubo ＆ Kameda(1996),Emerson, Cook, Gilmore ＆ Yamagishi(1983)らの実験で得られた交渉結果を説明するうえで、きわめて有望な枠組みであることを、理論的にデモンストレートした。本年度は、昨年行われたコンピュータ・シミュレーションから導出された命題を検証するために、実際の人間を用いて、行動実験を実施した。昨年の研究では、Ohtsubo ＆ Kameda(1996)で見出された、不完全情報下での交渉実験における功利主義的平等の達成は、「良き交渉者」と名づけられた戦略を人々が採用していることで可能となっていることが、理論的に示唆された。本年度に実施した実験では、実験室における参加者の交渉過程を観察することで、人々がこの「良き交渉者」戦略を実際に用いているのか検討された。実験の結果は、上記のアイデアを支持するものであり、多くの被験者が、「良き交渉者」戦略に従って、資源分配をめぐる交渉を行っていたことが観察された。昨年の結果とあわせ、本実験に基づいた英語論文を執筆し、現在投稿中である。また、本年度は、交渉過程において重要な役割を果たす、社会的動機についても実証的検討をおこなった。社会的動機に関する実験の一部は昨年も実施されたが、本年度は新たな実験を実施し、これの成果に基づき、学会発表×1を行い、英語論文×1を執筆中である。特に、本年度は、社会的動機の発達過程にも注目し、児童を使った実験を行った。この研究成果に基づいて、学会発表×3をおこない、さらに、英語論文×1が投稿中である。

The purpose of this study is to explore the theoretical and practical aspects of communication.
