研究実施計画にもとづき，まずはミュケーナイ文明期ギリシア語（線文字B）関連の第一次文献と第二次文献の購入を重点的に行い，文法事項，すなわち表記体系や形態論に関しての一般的なことについて，主に第二次文献を用いて調査を行った．これによりミュケーナイ文明期ギリシア語のテキストを，現在の研究水準に則りできるだけ正確に読み解けるようになった．以上の調査が必要となったのは，研究実施計画に記したとおり，本研究の出発点となった博士論文では，ミュケーナイ文明期ギリシア語において接語（clitic，前または後の単語と一緒に発音される語）がどのように扱われているかについての研究を，テキストが不確実であることが理由で割愛したためであり，したがってまずはテキストを正確に読み解けるようにする必要があったためである．その後，ミュケーナイ文明期ギリシア語に関する最近の研究の概観を行った．その結果，今回の研究，すなわち伝統的な文法学において接語と見なされている単語，あるいは接語と見なされてはいないが，碑文等に見られる特徴を調べることにより接語としての性質をもつことが想定される単語についての研究に対して，新たな知見をもたらしたり，今までの知見に関して大きな変更を求めるものはないだろうことが，主に第二次文献の調査で判明した．その後，第一次文献を用いてそれの検証を行っている途中であるが，特にこの調査を否定する結果は見つかっていない．したがって，少々否定的ではあるが，接語に関して行った現在までの研究に関して，ミュケーナイ文明期ギリシア語を用いることにより，何か重要な新しい知見が加わることはおそらくないが，しかし現在までの研究を否定することもない，という一応の結論が導かれた．
