本研究は、翻訳業で生計を立てる労働者（翻訳者）の労働生活の質（Work-Related Quality of Life：WRQoL）を、【１】測定尺度の作成、【２】その尺度をつかったアンケートの実施・データ分析、の２つのフェーズを通じて測定することを目指す。第１フェーズにあたる当該年度は、[1]先行文献リサーチ、[2]ドラフト質問票の作成、[3]質問票の精査、[4]完成した質問票をつかったオンラインアンケート（「翻訳者WRQoLアンケートVer.1」）の作成、[5] 翻訳者WRQoLアンケートVer.1の実施とデータ収集、[6]データ分析、[7]分析結果にもとづくアンケート（「翻訳者WRQoLアンケートVer.2」）の設計、を予定していた。このうち、[1]～[6]の一部まで進捗した。[1]先行文献リサーチ、[2]ドラフト質問票の作成、[3] 質問票の精査は、研究協力者１（アイルランド）・研究協力者２（英国）・研究協力者３（英国）とのオンライン協働を通じて行うことで、研究の厳密性を高めた。また[3] 質問票の精査には、英国のプロ翻訳者9人に専門分野エキスパートとしての参加協力を得ることで、翻訳業界の実態をよりよく反映したドラフト作成が可能となった。[4] オンラインアンケート作成は、心理学的アンケートの専門家である研究協力者３の知見を反映させることで、回答の途中棄権率を低く抑えることができた。[5]アンケート実施とデータ収集（N=77、英国のプロ翻訳者）では、研究協力団体である英国翻訳通訳者協会（ITI）を通じて行うことで、個人情報を得ることなく適切な対象グループからデータ収集ができた。[6]は、統計の専門家である研究協力者３とともに行うことで、分析の厳密さを担保することができた。
