メディアの技術的進歩や社会状況の変化によって政治コミュニケーションの在り様は変化の途上にある。特に選挙期間中、多くの候補者がソーシャルメディアを用いたキャンペーンを行い、有権者もソーシャルメディアで自身の政治的態度をつぶやく。そうした中で、ソーシャルメディアは世論を反映していないという実証研究もある。ソーシャルメディアにはどのようなバイアスが存在し、そのバイアスを構成する情報発信者にはどのような特徴があるのか。本研究はこうしたことを問うものである。2022年度は、予備調査として、全国3000サンプルを対象として、Twitter上に政治的な投稿を行ったユーザーの特徴を明らかにした。その特徴として、投票率が高く、高学歴で年収が高く、都市部在住、政治的知識が豊かで政治的有効性感覚も高い等のことが明らかになっている。また、沈黙のらせん理論によりツイート行動を説明できそうな兆しも見えている。加えて、2023年3月以降は、大阪府知事選挙の候補者に言及したツイートの収集・分析を始めている。この調査からは、現職知事候補に対しては批判的な意見が集中している等のことが明らかになっている。今後の計画としては、大阪府知事選挙後に大阪府民を対象とした調査を行い、選挙期間中にオンラインで政治的発言を行った者の特徴を明らかにする。本研究は、伝統的な政治参加論の知見を参照しながら、ソーシャルメディアという新たな文脈でそれを検証することにより、政治参加論の知見をアップデートしていくものである。

The investigation was conducted on the basis of the opinions of the current governor candidate and the criticism was concentrated. In the future, the characteristics of Osaka Prefecture residents who conduct investigations after the Osaka Prefecture Governor election and political speeches during the election period will be clarified. This study is based on the traditional knowledge of political participation theory.
