聴覚支援学校高等部の生徒が、社会の主流言語である日本語に対して何を感じ、どのような言語的バリアを経験しているのかを明らかにすることを目的とする本研究では、文献調査とインタビュー調査を行う計画であった。初年度は、おもに社会言語学の研究蓄積から外国籍児童など国内の言語的マイノリティが持つ日本語に対する意識の文献調査を進めた。言語的マイノリティの日本語に対する意識を取り上げた研究は散在するものの、残念ながらまとまった研究動向とはなっていないことが分かった。しかし、日本語モノリンガル話者のレベルの日本語を習得することは言語的マイノリティにとって高い壁であることは一致しており、結果として日本語への苦手意識をもつ事例が多く見られた。また、本研究に関わるフィールドワークとして、関西圏の複数の聴覚支援学校を訪問し授業観察を行った。その後、インタビュー調査に先立って、聴覚支援学校高等部の生徒を対象に質問紙調査を行った。その結果から、聴覚支援学校高等部の生徒の中には、他の言語的マイノリティと同じように日本語への苦手意識をもつ例が確認された。ただし、反対に日本語を得意だと感じている例もあることがわかった。現在は、各回答に対する生徒の属性を分析しているところである。今後は、質問紙調査の結果をふまえインタビュー調査を進めていき、先に行った文献調査の結果と比較しながら、聴覚支援学校高等部の生徒の日本語への意識について考察する予定である。

The purpose of this study is to support students in higher education and mainstream speech in society. In the early 2000 's, sociolinguistic research was accumulated, and literature survey on Japanese language awareness was conducted among foreign children and domestic speakers. This study was conducted in conjunction with a visit to a number of support schools in Kansai. After the completion of the survey, the students of the Higher Education Department were asked to conduct the survey.
