本研究課題の目的は、発育期の子どもにおける神経系機能と筋の形態的特性の発達過程を併せて評価し、疾走能力の発達過程との関連について調査することで、疾走能力の発達に寄与すると考えられている神経と筋の要因の貢献度について明らかにしていくものであった。本年度は、申請時の計画に基づき、測定方法及び解析方法の習熟とデータの収集を円滑に実施することができた。本年度の前期においては、測定協力先の担当者と測定時期についての打ち合わせを繰り返し行った。本研究課題は、小学生から高校生まで幅広い年代の子どもを対象としながら、表面筋電図の測定や疾走動作の分析など複数の測定補助者の協力を得る必要があったため、綿密な測定計画の打ち合わせを行う必要があった。また打ち合わせと並行し、学内研究室において、子どもを想定した表面筋電図測定の予備実験を繰り返し行った。質の高いデータ収集を行うため、プロトコルの検討や、子どもの興味を引き続けるようなディスプレイの工夫を行い、本実験実施に向けた準備を進めた。また、計上していた測定機器や消耗品などを購入し、より効率的な測定環境の構築を行うことができた。本年度の後期においては、計画的に本実験を遂行することができた。最終的に計100名以上の子どもたちに実験参加の協力を頂くことができ、本研究課題を解決するために必要十分な数のデータを収集することができた。年度末にかけて、収集した測定データの解析を進め、次年度計画している研究成果の公表に向けた準備を着実に行うことができている。
