About the downfall and demotion of the Tohoku district daimyo and the village trends during the transition from medieval to early-modern times

本文以近年来的村落形成理论为基础，收集了东北地区中古向近现代过渡时期的村落史料。在传统的思维方式中，东北地区是一个落后的地区，有人说村子还没有充分发展。我重新审视了这样的研究。此外，还考虑了战争状态下的村落趋势，如大名的衰落和降级，并澄清了大名的衰落和降级的实际情况。我还调查了在此期间发生的各种问题的意义。

Based on the village formation theory of recent years, I collected the village historical records of the Tohoku district in the transition from medieval to early-modern times. In the traditional ways of thinking, the Tohoku district is a backwardsarea and it has been said that the villages have not fully developed. I reexamined such research. Moreover, I considered the village trends in states of war, such as the daimyo's downfall and demotion, and clarified the actual condition of the downfall and demotion of the daimyo. Also I investigated the meaning of various problems which had occurred during this period.
