Based on the village formation theory of recent years, I collected the village historical records of the Tohoku district in the transition from medieval to early-modern times. In the traditional ways of thinking, the Tohoku district is a backwardsarea and it has been said that the villages have not fully developed. I reexamined such research. Moreover, I considered the village trends in states of war, such as the daimyo's downfall and demotion, and clarified the actual condition of the downfall and demotion of the daimyo. Also I investigated the meaning of various problems which had occurred during this period.

根据近年来的村庄形成理论，我收集了东北地区中世纪向近代早期过渡时期的村庄历史记录。在传统观念中，东北地区是一个落后地区，据说村庄还没有完全发展起来。我重新审视了这样的研究。另外，我还考虑了大名的垮台、降级等战争状态下的村落动向，明确了大名垮台、降级的实际情况。我也调查了这期间出现的各种问题的意义。
