In this project, we will develop and introduce a new tracer for the isotope composition of atmospheric oxygen. We will use the isotope composition (O, Fe) of I-type cosmic spherules to reconstruct the Δ'17O of atmospheric O2 throughout the Phanerozoic. The Δ'17O of air O2 provides important information about atmospheric CO2 levels and global bio production rates.
