项目摘要
We constructed a frozen tissue library containing cancer tissues obtained from 5,000 patients who agreed with informed consent and underwent surgical treatment at Hokkaido University Hospital and its 33 affiliated hospitals. We had performed gene expression assay of 31 patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma till December in 2003, and made the expression profile of 1289 genes correlated with cancer progression. On the other hand, we reported that several gene expression such as caveolin-1, RCAS1, and PEDF correlate with prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer. We thought that PEDF gene therapy is potentially useful for the treatment of pancreatic cancer patients with liver metastasis.
