INTERNATIONAL COMPARISON RESEARCH ON EDUCATING ENGINEERS AMONG JAPAN, USA, AND GERMANY

通过对“公司工程师教育”的问卷调查，我们发现了工程师在提高研发能力方面机会的一些事实。大约900个受访者的数据让我们发现了一些促使工程师自学的因素。这些因素分为内部教育制度、外部学习机会、工作机会、环境、上级的影响、评价制度等。并根据受访工程师的认识，找出了成为成功工程师的必要条件。我们已经完成了初步的分析，使我们对培养成功的工程师的优秀系统有了一个总体的印象。使用更精细的统计工具进行更仔细的分析，将使我们对教育系统有更详细的了解。

Based on the questionnaire survey on "Education for the Engineers in the Company", we find some facts of the engineers' chances to enhance their ability for research and development. About 900 respondent data leads us to some findings on the factors that make engineers to learn by themselves. Those factors are categorized into in-house education system, opportunities to study outside a company, on the job chances, environment for the engineers, influences from the superiors, and evaluation systems. We also find out some necessary conditions for the successful engineers based on the recognition of the respondent engineers. We have finished the preliminary analysis which gives us an over all image of the excellent systems for educating successful engineers. The more deliberate analysis using more elaborate statistical tools will give us more a detail picture of the education system.
