This study intended to provide the three-dimensional tongue posture image to the children with occlusal and articulatory disorder in their own facial and dentitional image, furthermore, to show their tongue movement from the rest position to the swallowing position as an animation, in order to increase their motivation for the treatment and to prompt their behavior modification. At the 1^<st> year of the study, we developed the software that the images of upper and lower dental models which were projected separately from the white-lights-gratings project-type three-dimensional measurement device (GRASP-M, Technoarts Lab. Co.) were combined with the 3 common measurement points. We also refined both the hardware and the software of the face measurement section in the same device (GRASP-F) to get the information more quickly and steadily even from the small children. At the 2^<nd> year, we developed the software that integrated the images of both occluded models and face by lying the cephalometric profile and teeth images between them. Because the anterior one-third of the tongue image could not be observed clearly by the ultra-sonography, we got the impression of the tongue dorsum from one of our study colleagues both at the resting position and the swallowing position and made their models. The three-dimensional images of tongue dorsums by the GRASP-M were fitted into the integrated facial and dentitional image. On the other hand, the tongue dorsum movement both at the frontal section (upper first molar's mesial points) and mid-sagittal section from the sonography were drawn in the series using time as t direction and made them as the fundamental information for the tongue movement animation. However, we still could not get the animation even at the final month of the academic years, and remained the task for another year.
