本研究は、国際的に研究史の空隙となっていた第二次大戦後の万国博覧会史に取り組むものである。その目的は、催事としての万博それ自体を詳解することではなく、万博史研究をレンズとして用いることにより、国際情勢から、開催・参加各国内の政局、関係業界の動向、関係者個々人のミクロな経験までを途切れなく見通し、かつ、自ずと世界の多様な視点に立脚する、新たな戦後世界史叙述の可能性を提示することにある。研究期間全体として、①学際的な顔合わせのもと、メンバー各自が専門的な調査能力を持つ分野の万博関係資料収集を通時的に行い、分析する、②研究対象とする第二次大戦後の時代を７つの主要万博で区切り、多領域の資料（①）を互いに接続することで、各時代の「世界を輪切りにする」像を描く、という縦横の軸を持って進めることとしているが、初年度は各自が①の資料収集から着手し、約3ヵ月に一度の研究会をペースメーカーとして進捗を報告し合い、議論を重ねた。並行して②の観点においては、主に1958年ブリュッセル万博から1970年大阪万博までの時期について、国際社会の脱植民地化過程への着眼を年間テーマとして共有し、メンバーの多角的な知見を持ち寄って集中的な検討を行った。結果として、国際的にも先行研究のない、「万博史研究をレンズとして用いる」脱植民地化研究が４論考（および座談会記録１件）に結実し、また脱植民地化研究においてこの視座が有効であることが示された。また、本科研費補助金の支援により、研究成果を広く社会に発信する媒体『万博学／Expo-logy』が創刊に至ったことは、研究初年度の特筆すべき実績である。刊行時（2022年12月）には、定例研究会を拡大する形で同時通訳付きの国際研究集会をハイブリッド方式で実施し、とくに上記①と関連する万博資料の所在や研究上の問題点についてミニ・シンポジウムを組織し、議論を深めた。

This paper studies the gap between the history of international research and the history of the Second World Expo. The purpose of this paper is to prompt the study of history of the world to take part in the political situation in China, the trend of the relevant industry, and the possibility of describing the history of the world from various perspectives. During the study period, the whole population,(1) inter-academic research,(2) inter-disciplinary research,(3) inter-disciplinary research,(4) inter-disciplinary research,(5) inter-disciplinary research,(6) inter-disciplinary research,(7) inter-disciplinary research,(7) inter-disciplinary research,(8) inter-disciplinary research,(9) inter-disciplinary research,(10) inter-disciplinary research,(11) inter-disciplinary research,(12) inter-disciplinary research,(13) inter-disciplinary research,(14) inter-disciplinary research,(15) inter-disciplinary research,(16) inter-disciplinary research,(17) inter-disciplinary research,(18) inter-disciplinary research,(19) inter-disciplinary research In the first year of the year, the data collection of each of the three research meetings was started, and the discussion was repeated. In parallel, the main point of view is the period from 1958 to 1970 in Osaka. The international community has focused on the process of de-urbanization and urbanization, and has held a concentrated discussion on the shared and diverse knowledge of the world. The results show that there are four discussions (one symposium record) on the study of desertification in China, and four discussions on the study of desertification in China. Support for this research grant, dissemination of research results and social communication media "Universal Learning/Expo-logy" from inception to the beginning of the year, special achievements in the research year At the time of publication (December 2022), the regular research meeting was held in a large scale, and the international research meeting was held at the same time. The method of implementation was carried out, and the relevant information was recorded. The problem points on research were organized and discussed deeply.
