1)「聴覚情報処理障害の症状を示す小児」の分析を行った。大阪教育大にて代表研究者が実施している調査から、小児の自覚症状が年齢の上昇に連れて継時的に上昇すること、本人の自覚症状と保護者の所見との乖離が年齢の上昇に連れて拡大すること。因子分析から聴覚的注意課題が最も検出率が高いことが判明した。結果より、小学校低学年の児童は自覚症状が乏しいこと、APDの症状の早期発見に検査機器を導入する必要性が確認された。2)「小児のAPDの検査法の有用性」を検討した。代表研究者が実施しているAPD患者の集積調査の小児例について分析した。結果、小児は成人と比較し、APTの陽性率が高いことが判明した。小渕らのAPTの分析で、小児は、成人と比較し、分離聴力検査の文、早口音声聴取検査の２倍、1.5倍速、聴覚的注意課題の陽性率と誤答数、両耳交互聴検査で検出率が高かった。この結果より小児へのスクリーニング検査の検査項目の候補を選定した。また、小児例の全員に発達検査を実施し、発達障害をはじめとした、背景分析を実施し、小児APDへの介入時の基礎データを集積した。3)本研究の特徴である、脳機能の評価のための機器の導入と調整を行った。検査機器には、島津製作所製fNIRSを購入した。脳機能の評価は、次年度以降に、前頭葉の注意機能の評価を、APT検査の実施中に測定し、聞き取りの困難の度合いを注意の違いで評価する予定である。4)聞き取り困難を補助する試み：代表者の施設の小児APD例に対して、補聴援助システム、補聴器、耳栓、ノイズキャンセルイヤホンなどの使用例に対する自覚症状と機器試用状況の調査を実施した。結果、補聴援助システムの有効な例と使用困難な例があることがわかりその背景の分析を実施した。また、教室環境改善について、大阪教育大天王寺小学校において、スピーカー、マイクを使用した介入研究を外部企業と共同で実施している。
