项目摘要

ヒトの特性を行動科学的な立場から解析し、先進国の社会構成の安定性を論じ、高齢化に伴う様々な変化を、経済問題、生産構造、包括的生活様式や価値観、生死観にいたる広範な視野から捉え、将来の破局や予兆を推定した。(1)日本の医療システムの研究で、健康寿命の概念を提案した。また寝たきり率の地域差の調査、医療実態の日米比較などでは、医療・ケア・ニードに大きな差がないことが分かった。医療費のマクロ分析では、日本の医療費に見られる地域差と医療費の国際比較により、国民皆保険制度下ではサービスの購入量は需要者がほとんど決定するもとであること、わが国の医療は需給者の両側面から、根本的な構造改革と意識改革が急がれることを明らかにした。(2)日本的身体観の変遷は、医学の将来に重要な影響をもつ問題で、学問的・系統的に扱うべく、中世以降から近代社会の身体観から西欧的身体観に至る幾つかの側面から研究を行っている。客観として外界を捉えるのは脳、捉えている意識自体は主観という矛盾が生じるが、これが身体問題の基本である。ケアとキュアの分離は、そこでの態度の違いに起因する。この4月には、東京大学総合資料館にて、プラスティネーション標本の展示を行う予定で、成人全身4体、全身断面5体、臓器などを多く含め、展示に対する一般人の反応をアンケートなどの調査で確かめる。(3)医療費高騰と病院建築に注目して日本の医療の後進性を系統的に調査した。現代の医療の実態はゲリラ戦に譬えられる。ゲリラが、超大国の軍隊を翻弄するように、正規軍同士の戦闘における理論は成り立たず、ランチェスターの法則は変形されて、正規軍の損耗は組織の大きさに比例する。これが先進国の医療費高騰の重要な素因である。詳細は、冊子体報告書および総括班報告書に記載した他、多数の論文・著作として発表した。
