项目摘要

本研究の目的は、従来の家族の歴史的変動研究の成果を踏まえつつ、高度技術社会の発展のなかで、家族ライフスタイルがどのような多様性を呈するかを明らかにすることである。この多様化は、標準的家族の領域のみならず、それ以外の領域においても進んでいる。標準的家族での多様化とは、形態的には同じ家族であってもそのライフスタイルにさまざまなバリエーションが見られることである。平成4年度(初年度)には、標準的家族とは異なるライフスタイルの一つである事実婚(非婚)カップルの選択動機と生活実態についてのアンケート調査を実施した。平成5年度(第2年度)には、第1年度に実施した非婚カップルの調査データの解析を行なった。と同時に、形態が同じでもライフスタイルに多様性が見られることを実証するために核家族(標準的家族)を対象にした調査(杉並区調査)を行なった。最終年度である平成6年度には、非婚カップル調査の自由回答項目の分析とカップル単位の統計的分析を行なった。また初年度(平成4年度)に実施した非婚カップルの回答者のなかから15ケースを選択し、ライフコースを中心にしたより深層に迫るインテンシヴな事例研究を行なった。この事例研究の主な目的は、カップルのそれぞれがどのようなプロセスを経て、非婚ライフスタイルを選択するに至ったか、また生育歴や親子関係などを明らかにすることであった。また平成5年度に実施した標準的家族のライフスタイルの調査である杉並区の調査については、個人単位および夫婦単位の統計的分析を行なった。そして最終年度である平成6年度は、調査結果の総合的分析ならびに要約を行なったうえで、最終の研究報告書を作成した。
