项目摘要

本研究は、(1)市民の日常生活レベルでの情報化そのものの解明(2)情報化と生活意識・行動との関連の解明(3)そして情報化への適応条件の解明を目指した。(1)については、「生活情報化尺度」の構成を行ない,一般住民レベルにおける「情報化」の進展状況をこのような尺度のもとに解明すると同時に、年齢や性といった諸属性や社会集団・ネットワーク所属などの社会的諸関係、さらには社会的態度と「生活情報化尺度」とがどのように関連しているのかを、計量分析的に解明した。(2)については、(1)における計量的関連分析と並行して、社会関係としてのジェンダーの側面と情報発信行動の側面から質的事例分析を行なった。女性のパソコン関心集団に対する三回にわたるパネル調査を通じて、女性にとってのパソコン機器の普及と利用が、意識と行動にどのような影響を与えるのかを、そのことが逆に既存のジエンダー関係からにどう規定されているかをも問題意識としつつ解明した。情報発信行動分析としては、ビデオカメラを用いた既存マスメディアへの情報発信(アマチュア・ビデオカメラマン)、ケーブルテレビを用いた地域社会への情報発信(番組制作住民集団)、電子ネットワーク上での情報発信(パソコン通信フォーラム)の三つの事例を取り上げ、聞き取りなどの質的調査と質問紙を用いた量的調査を併用して、情報発信行動が個人の意識・行動に与える影響と、そのような発信行動の成立を規定している社会的要因とを解明した。(3)については、統計調査(ブリテスト、本調査)データにより「情報機器利用能力尺度」を構成し、その尺度の妥当性を検証した。
