项目摘要

情報化と市民生活の関係という広範な領域を扱う本研究は、相互に関連する二つの角度から、この問題に接近してきた。すなわち、情報・メディアの側と,それを利用する市民の側からである。前者として「情報機器利用能力」と「VCR」を、また後者として「ジェンダ-」と「世代」を、それぞれ設定した。「情報機器利用能力」については操作的に概念設定をし,それに対応する項目設定をふまえ,予備的調査を行った。その分析の結果,一次元的な尺度設定の可能性が見出された。「VCR」については,諸外国の先行研究のレビュ-と,80年代における日本の急速な普及過程を計量的に分析することを通じて,次年度以降の調査での課題を設定した。「ジェンダ-」については,送り手としての情報システムと,利用者受け手の双方から,情報化ジェンダ-に対して持つ意味を解明するため,都市型CATVと女性利用者集団について,第一段階の事例研究を行った。「世代」については,その研究を進めるための基礎的作業として,情報社会や生活行動の概念整理を行うことを通じて,情報化と生活行動の分析枠組みの構築を試みた。これら4つの角度からの研究・分析結果を,年度末報告書としてまとめた。来年度以降は、以上の4つの視角からの研究を深め,情報化と市民生活に関する統合的な解明を試みていく。
