第6班は平成5年度から当該重点領域研究に参加し,研究期間は2年である.当班は,主として2種類の研究テーマを並行的に進めてきた.1つは,経済構成員間の情報の多様化が市場メカニズムに与える影響についての基礎理論的研究であり,今1つは取引ネットワークと市場構造についての研究である.平成6年度は,具体的に次の諸問題について研究を進めた.(1)情報の多様性と共通認識,共通知識と共通認識,情報の共有と共通認識の関係についての問題,(2)情報の多様化と市場取引におけるスペキュレーションの可能性の問題,等である.このような情報の多様化と市場成果について得られた結果の概要は,以下の通りである.(1)市場経済において情報が多様化しているとき,経済構成員の誰でも共通に認識できる情報(事象)は,R.Aumannが導入した「共通知識(common knowledge)」の概念と一致するが,これは異なった情報を持つ個々の人々の誰もが認識できる事象であり,さらに,そのこと自体を誰もが認識できる事象である,という具合に相互認識できる事象を順帰納的(forward inductive)に進めた場合の極限と一致するのみならず,逆帰納的(backward inductive)な相互認識の深化により定義される逆帰納的共通知識とも一致する.さらに,情報の種類が高々可算個であれば,多種多様な情報を持つ個人間に共通な情報(=共有情報)は,上記の順機能的共通知識,逆帰納的共通知識,社会の共通認識に一致する.(2)市場経済取引に参加する各トレーダーが私的情報を有し,情報が多様化している場合,取引される資産価格がその将来価格の現在割引価値を上回っていることをすべての取引参加者が認識していることをもって,バブルが発生すると言うとき,市場の価格を通して取引者が情報を学ぶことを考慮しても,バブルが発生しうる.しかし,バブルの発生は個々の取引者に認識されたとしても,それがそれが市場取引参加者の間で共通認識されることはあり得ない.
