英文摘要
To investigate the effects of exercise on food intake and body mass in the Zucker fatty rat, we planned this research. But we could not get adequate results because of the trouble of O_2 and CO_2 analyzer and deep freezer.Suppressive effect on body mass increment during cold acclimation was more profound in obese rats. Food intake was markedly greater, but the increase during cold exposure was much smaller than in lean rats. The brown fat mass increased significantly during cold exposure and kept about the same mass after deacclimation. Serum glucose, lipids, insulin, corticosterone, testosterone and leptin were higher, while thyroxine was lower in obese rats. During cold acclimation, plasma triglycerides and insulin was significantly lowered in obese rats. In Zucker obese rats, exposure to cold resulted in good effect on reduction of body mass, plasma triglycerides and insulin due to improvement of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, induced by enhanced thermoregulatory thermogenesis.L … More ong-term cold exposure causes increase in non-shivering thermogenesis to maintain body temperature. The energy metabolism changes remarkably. It results in increase of food intake, inhibition of increase in body weight and in mass of brown adipose tissue(BAT) with morphological changes. Liver plays a central role in regulation of energy metabolism. Changes in Morphological appearance of liver were also observed during cold adaptation. To analyze the mechanism of adaptive changes in Zucker fatty rats during cold acclimation, proteins of liver and BAT induced by cold acclimation were analyzed and they were compared with those of lean rats.During cold acclimation, approximately 60 different proteins in BAT were changed. They were classified into proteins related to energy metabolism, stress proteins and others. Some proteins related to carbohydrate metabolism were changed in the liver during cold adaptation. Expressions of proteins in these tissues were somewhat different in Zucker fatty rats and lean rats. Less
