This Research was carried out as follows ;(1) The Collection of Materials on the Kawabe-gawa Dam Project・Investigated Organizations ;Kumamoto Prefectural Office, Itsuki Village Office, Kumamoto Prefectural Library, Hitoyoshi City Library, "Yamasemi" (Museum exhibited the Kawabe-gawa Dam Project and Itsuki Village Cultures)・Analysis of Materials Collected from above Organizations(2) Field Investigation in Itsuki Village・Interview to Itsuki Village Inhabitants・Editing of the Interview Results(3) Discussion of the Reorganization Process of several CommunitiesThis Research Results are as follows ;(1) The biggest problem of this project is that it has taken too long time from the plan announcement. (Over 40 years)(2) The Conclusion of this research as follows ;・In case of village community reorganization, it is extremely useful to make use of folkways and folk events.・When I studied about the big project like Kawabe-gawa Dam Project which needed moving from folkloric standpoint, I have found out the most important matter is that project promoter should consider the moving persons' minds and circumstances.

本研究的内容如下：（1）川边川水坝工程资料收集·调查机构;熊本县厅、五木村厅、熊本县立图书馆、人吉市立图书馆、“山见”（博物馆展示了川边川水坝工程和严城村文化）·从上述组织收集的资料分析（2）严城村的实地调查·（3）对几个社区的重组过程的探讨本研究的结果如下：（1）本项目最大的问题是从计划公布到现在的时间太长。(Over（2）本研究的结论如下：·在村落社区重组的情况下，利用民俗和民俗事件是非常有用的。当我从民俗学的角度研究像川边川大坝工程这样需要搬迁的大项目时，我发现最重要的是项目发起人应该考虑搬迁者的思想和环境。
