In doing this research project, the head investigator and several investigators first arranged the viewpoints on the international protection of Intellectual Property Rights and made keynote reports in each section according to the research proposal. After doing that, each research member took charge of a particular section, analyzed the problems and kept researching on potential countermeasures. Consequently, they presented interim reports open for discussion in workshops.The above-mentioned workshops were held nearly once a month. Besides the members of the research project, some scholars and graduated students of Faculty of Law &. Policy, Tezukayama University and some scholars from other institutions attended the workshops. In 2004-2005 fiscal year, 9 workshops were held ; 7 research members presented 8 reports, and 3 non-member scholars also gave their related presentations. In 2005-2006 fiscal year, 10 workshops were held ; 7 research members presented 8 reports, and 2 non-member scholars gave their presentations on certain significant aspects that related to the research. These research activities not only made it possible for each member to acquire latest information, but exposed their research to various viewpoints as well.As the accomplishment of research members, 10 papers have been published or are being printed. 1 scholarly book has been published. Those papers, along with 1 paper that has not been published, have been collected in the Research Accomplishment Report.
