当研究はコミュニケ-ション障害プロセスを神経生理学・心理学。運動学の各分野より統合的に解明することを目的とし、実証的デ-タより理論的考察を進めるとともに、それらを基礎とした治療・教育プログラムの開発を目ざしている。本年度研究より以下のことが明らかになった。1.コンピュ-タ・ディスプレイ上の図形位置を注視・追視さらに左右弁別するといった、視覚-運動課題を実施することによって、コミュニケ-ション障害の認知的側面(昨年度購入の眼球運動処理システムにより測定)と動作的側面(本年度購入の加速度トランスデュ-サにより測定)の相互作用を検討した。対象児として脳性マヒ児、精神遅滞児、自閉症児について調べたが、各障害児において一貫したコミュニケ-ション障害傾向というものは見出せなかった。そして各障害児ともその認知・動作両側面の障害程度及びその相互作用に著しい個人差が認められた。これは従来の障害分類を超え、より包括的概念としてコミュニケ-ション障害を把えることの必要性を示唆するものと考えられる。2.コミュニケ-ション障害児の認知-動作系に発達の遅れあるいは歪みのあることは、前年度の当プロジェクト研究で明らかになった。本年度は動作訓練を導入することによる認知-動作系の改善を検討し、治療・教育プログラムま開発を試みた。その結果、身体部位の弛緩訓練による身体基準系の改善(具体的には姿勢・肢位の改善)がなされ、それによって認知-動作系の改善もなされることが示された。従って、弛緩訓練による身体基準系の改善がコミュニケ-ション障害児の認知-動作系の改善に有用と考えられ、さらにさまざまな症例で検討を重ねることが必要であろう。
