项目摘要

1、障害者の社会適応を考えるうえで、障害者だけでなく彼らを取り囲む人々の彼らに対する意識、態度が重要な要因となる。障害者に対する望ましい理解が出来ていると思われる地域で、障害者に対する住民の意識、態度を質問紙で調査した。平均的にみると障害者に対して肯定的な態度が示されたが、個別的には否定的な態度も示されており、障害者に対して肯定的と思われる地域での結果でもこの程度であることから一般に障害者が社会に受け入れられることは容易でないことが示唆された。義務教育段階でのいわゆる福祉教育が必要と思われる。2、普通小学校に在籍する聴覚障害児の国語と算数の学力を調べた結果一般の児童と比較し学力の低い児童の多いこと、また聾学校高等部生徒を対象に進路、就職、自立、学校生活の現状、日常生活の現状に対する意識を調べた結果から、(1)社会常識、社会的ル-ルに関する十分な情報の提供、(2)集団参加能力の向上と実社会への適応教育、(3)生徒、教師、家族間の十分なコミュニケ-ションの確保、(4)国語力の養成を目指した教育の必要性が示唆された。3、青年期の吃音についての研究から吃音に対する相談機関の役割は話し方中心の指導だけでは充分でないこと、本人が真剣に相談しても、受け取る側が問題の深刻さを充分理解していないことのあることが分かり、吃音の原因や対処の仕方についての概念的な理解と現実生活における行動のギャップをどううめるかの指導の必要性が示され、吃音成人を対象とした職場適応に関する研究からは自らを否定的に捉えているものの職場適応はよくないことが分かり吃音は障害を持った人間として把握されるべきことが示唆された。
