项目摘要

1.国土利用の変化を明らかにする研究の一部として、明治・大正期の全国の土地利用情報のデ-タベ-ス作成を行い、土地利用図の作成と分析を行なった。当時の国土利用についての理解を大きく向上させることができただけでなく、他のデ-タベ-スを併用した総合的国土理解への基礎が固められた。2.系統的資料が不充分な近世末の国土利用の把握のための基礎的研究を前進させ、関東・中部地域について、かなりの程度までデ-タベ-ス化と地図作製を行なった。3.明治期から今日までの都市化を空間的・景観的に詳細に明らかにするための手法を開発し、全国についてデ-タベ-スを作成し地図化する作業を進めた。明治・大正期の状況についてはかなり明らかにすることができた。4.既存の各種数値情報を用い、土地利用とそれに関わりの深い諸因子のGISへの取り込みについての技術的検討を進め、有用な情報の地図化を可能にし、土地利用分析に用いた。5.公募研究班ともよく研究交流をし、土地利用区分法、地図化手法、土地利用変化の扱いに適したGISの構築等について、必要な調整と情報の交換をした。全体として研究は当初の予定通り進んでおり、これまで系統的・祥細な理解幹得られていなかったわが国の国土利用の変化について、相当程度明らかにすることができ、また次年度以降研究を展開するための準備も完了することができた。
