项目摘要

東京圏の発達過程とそれに伴う土地利用変化を明らかにする一環として,本研究では,主として明治末期から大正初期,つまり20世紀初頭の東京市街地とその周辺農村地域の状態を明らかにした。その時期の東京市とその周辺の土地利用の実態図については,今までのところ,陸測の1万分の1地形図が最も詳しいが,本研究で作成した「震災前東京の土地利用復元図」は,1万分の1地形図の市街地表現を数倍の詳しさで土地利用図化したものである。つまり,都市的土地利用を会社・金融等,商住等混在,住商等混在倉庫・河岸・木場,政府・公共・病院,皇室・皇族,軍事,工業,教育,宗教・墓地,公園・墓地,大邸宅,一般住宅等に都市的土地利用を分類した。さらに種目ごとに面積をヘクタール単位でメッシュ交点法により計測した。また、幕末江戸とに土地利用比較を行った。工業的土地利用に関しては、工業統計表等により、15区内の工場分布をさらに詳細に検討した。農業的土地利用については,都市化地域周辺についてのみ,修正ウィーバー法により土地利用混在度を調べた。この際には500mメッシュで検討した。土地の自然的基礎については,主に河川・地下水の面から検討を加え,土地利用の実態がどのような自然的基礎と関連しているかを調べた。20世紀初頭の都市的土地利用については,台地・谷底・低地の3分類により,土地利用面積を計測した。本年度は,過去3年間の研究の纒めでもあ,前述の「震災前東京の土地利用復元図」の作成を行ったほか,全体的な研究成果を纒めた。やり残した研究もあるが,これについてはさらに研究を自主的に行う予定である。
