本研究は,養護学校に在籍する発語のない重度言語発達遅滞児を対象に,図形シンボルと会話エイドを利用して学内日常環境における実用的伝達スキルを開発するとともに,その効果的指導方法について実験的に検討することを目的としている。今年度は,昨年度までの研究の継続として以下の2点について研究を行い成果を得た。1.図形シンボル用会話エイドの開発 昨年度までの研究でプロトタイプの開発を終了し下記の事例研究にも導入している図形シンボル用会話エイドの開発を終了した。この会話エイドは(PICOT),市販のパソコン(Macintosh)の画面上で自由にシンボルを作成し,必要な音声フィードバック用データを録音・登録することが可能なソフトウェアである。この成果は「聴能言語学研究」誌へ論文として投稿中である。2.図形シンボル用システムのインストールと事例研究 対象児2名の図形シンボル用システムとして会話エイド(PICOTを搭載したパソコン)と会話ボードを学校内へインストールし、同システムを利用して行う会話訓練を中心とした事例研究を開始した。会話訓練はこれまでに約3ケ月間行われた。現在,各訓練セッションのビデオ映像記録をスクリプト化する作業を行っており、図形シンボルによる伝達スキルの獲得過程,既・未得伝達スキルへの影響,図形シンボルによる伝達スキルの般化,等について分析を進める予定である。
