项目摘要

東南アジア各地に見られるドライゾーンはかつては先進地域であったにも関わらず、現在では後進地域となっているという共通の特徴を持っている。本研究はこのような東南アジア・ドライゾーンの地域形成と発展をタイ東北部コラート高原を事例として取り上げ、人間居住、農業生産力、産業立地、統治システムなどの観点から総合的に捉えることを目的として研究を進めてきた。本年度の研究は、平成8年度から始まった日本学術振興会の日タイ拠点大学事業の一環として行われているプロジェクト「東南アジアにおける平原半乾燥地の比較研究」と共同してワークショップを2回開催した。1回目は、平成8年6月3日から4日にかけて京都で開催され、本研究のメンバー以外に外部からも多くの出席者を集めて開催された。このワークショップは2回目のワークショップの準備と位置付けられる。2回目は平成8年10月21日から23日にかけてやはり京都で開催された。このワークショップの内容は報告書としてまとめられ、日本学術振興会により発行される予定である。本研究の成果は重点領域研究報告書シリーズNo.31〜33としてまとめている。タイトルは以下の通りである。池本幸生編『東南アジア・ドライゾーンの地域形成と発展-コラート高原を中心として-』池本幸生著『東南アジアのグローバル化と地域研究』永田好克著『Northeasd Thailand Village Information System(NETVIS)Material 1986,1988,1990,1992』
