We have tried to link the three micro data sets, Medical Facility Survey, Patient Survey, and Hospital Report and built a data base for analytical purpose.1) We examined relationship among hospital characteristics patient characteristics and average durations of patients. As a result, two groups of average durations less than 10 days and than 100 days reveal different pictures from other groups.2) Examine a difference between areas, from patient survey (Fukawa). As a result, an area block based on the prevalence rate, reveals large regional differences in the hospitalization ratio, discharge rate, average duration of patients, but, differences are small in healing rate. It became clear that a sickness and wound, were related to these indexes and above-mentioned long term hospitalization was an important factor of regional differences.3) Compare the average duration of patients in patient survey that of Hospital of Report. As a result, as age profile rises, a correlation became stronger. And the age profile gets highs, the average duration of patient survey becomes longer.Kondo and Shimada investigate the factors of "hospital selection and satisfaction" and "hospital employment" by adding the 1996 micro data.
