Artistic Outlines and Intervening Practices of Co-Operation of the Avantgarde and Contemporary Arts in East Central Europe (C03)

The research project examines artistic practices of the historical avantgarde in East Central Europe that merged co-operative actions with theoretical contemplation in order to artistically intervene. Scrutinizing both historic and contemporary artistic projects of the (late) avantgarde aimed at radical social change, the broadly effective Eastern European avant-garde movements in the past and present will be used to reveal how practices and theoretical drafts relate to each other in artistic interventions.
