本研究では、ネットワークで結合された大規模分散型地理情報システムにおいて重要となる、(1)ネットワーク環境における個別情報の管理方式,(2)異形態地理情報の融合方式,(3)イントラネット環境におけるGISの構成法,の3点について研究を行った。まず、第一のテーマは大規模分散型の地理情報システムにおいて、個々のユーザ固有の情報を管理するための方式の提案である。提案方式では、サーバから提供される地理情報に対する情報の追加、削除、変更をクライアント側において図形処理コマンドの系列(GDSF)で持ち、サーバから提供された情報の利用に先立って、この図形処理コマンド系列を施すというものである。このGDSFはクライアント側に置かれているため、サーバの情報には何ら変更を加えることなく、独自の情報を利用することができる。2番目の課題は、異形態地図の融合方式に関する研究である。本年度は特に地籍管理のための公図と測量地図との融合を行なった。ここで用いる公図は位置的な精度が低く、土地区画の隣接関係のみが重要な情報として記述されている。この地図と、測量により作成された地図とを融合することにより、位置的、形状的な精度の高い土地所有地図を得ることが目的である。3番目の課題では、イントラネット環境におけるGIS構築の一方式を提案するとともに、バッファリングやデータの所在情報の管理を行う方式について検討を行なっている。
