项目摘要

1.4月-7月,研究調査準備。第5回全体会議出席2.8月4日-9月12日,キャンベラのRSPAS, ANUにおいて,最新の情報を集める。故Don Laycockのブイン語辞書編纂の仕事をほぼ完成。また,アデレードにて,研究協力者Therese Kemelfieldとモトゥナ語資料分析を行い,現地調査の打ち合わせを行う。(ブーゲンヴィル南部の洪水のため,現地調査の日程を延ばす。)3.9月13日-27日,Therese Kemelfieldと,ブーゲンヴィルおよびポート・モレスビーにて下の調査を行う:(1)北ソロモン州政府関係者,教育関係者,SIL翻訳者との情報・意見交換と研究協力についての話し合い。(2)モトゥナ語資料収集。子供たちの遊び・歌・なぞなぞ・物語を重点的に集める。(3)ブイン語辞書の疑問点を現地話者とチェック。(4)ナゴビシ語基礎語彙の収集。4.9月28日-10月8日(キャンベラ),収集した資料の分析・整理。ドイツのDOBESチームとの情報交換。5.10月9日-2月16日(沖縄),収集した資料の分析・整理。10月13日,沖縄言語研究センター年次大会にて講演:「危機言語」の記録と記述-南ブーゲンヴィルのパプア系言語を例として-。11月8日,京都大学生態学研究センターで講演:「危機言語」の記録と継承に向けて-南ブーゲンヴィルのパプア系言語を例に-。11月23日-25日,Therese Kemelfieldとともに第6回全体会議出席・発表。大西発表:Languages of South Bougainville : Present and Future(南ブーゲンヴィルのパプア系諸言語の現状と展望)(ELPR A1-003にて2003年出版予定),Therese Kemelfield 発表:Traditional Chants. Games and Stories of Siuwai Children。6.2月17日-3月10日,キャンベラにてブイン語辞書最終校正(Pacific Linguisticsより2003年出版予定)。研究協力者柳田達也と,Motuna Texts(モトゥナ語テキスト集)の編集・校正を行う(ELPRA-seriesにて2003年出版予定)。
