今年度は、5年間の当研究プロジェクトの最終年度であることもあり、全体としての研究成果をまとめ、公表に向けての作業を遂行した。これまでの研究の成果は主に以下の通りである。無限効用流列の社会的評価の可能性を巡る問題での、パレート原理とピグー=ドルトン型帰結主義的平等分配の原理の両立不可能性に関する新定理の導出。重複世代間資源配分問題での、衡平性原理の定式化とパレート原理との両立可能性の検証、外部性が存在する場合のロールズ型マキシミン原理の公理的特徴づけに関する研究、同じく、各世代の効用関数が利他的性格を有する場合の、負の公共財排出を巡る世代間非協力ゲームの均衡の存在及び特徴づけに関する研究。非重複的世代間資源配分モデルで、負の公共財排出による外部効果が将来世代にのみ及ぶ長期的外部性問題を解決するための資源配分ルールの構成可能性の探求。他方、代替的な規範的評価原理の公理的研究において、資源配分ルールに関する非帰結主義的な自律性原理、非厚生主義的帰結主義的な配分衡平性原理、厚生主義的帰結主義的な配分効率性原理という3つの不可欠な基準の両立可能性問題において、一定の成果を得ることが出来た。こうした諸成果は、各研究分担者・研究協力者によって、2004年7月に大阪大学で開催された「社会的選択と厚生に関する世界大会」で発表された他、2005年3月にはInternational Economic AssociationのRoundtable Meetingを、「世代間衡平性」をテーマに箱根において組織・開催し、各研究成果を発表する機会も得た。また、2005年1月には5年間の当研究プロジェクトの最終成果報告のシンポジウムを東京・神田において開催し、そこでは「世代間衡平性」に関心を持つ広範囲の社会科学者が討論者として参加した。
