项目摘要

本研究課題では、開かれたネットワーク環境におけるデータ交換や流通、再利用を促進する「公開型データ」の実現に取り組んでいる。本年度は、前年度に開発した「スキーマ部品化」の基礎理論をよりシステム的な側面から検証を行い、理論の精錬と応用システムの探求を行った。成果は、以下の3点に大別することができる。データタイプのオントロジー化.データタイプは、スキーマ定義からオントロジー技術まで広く受け入れられたスキーマ部品である。我々は、データタイプとそのタイプ変換からフォーマルオントロジーシステムを構築することが可能であることを発見した。このシステムを用いることで、データタイプの共有、拡張性、更に相互運用性は大きく向上する。概念アウェアなWebサービス.Webサービスは、モダンなデータ交換システム(データ指向の分散コンピューティングシステム)のアーキテクチャであり、Web上の多様性に対する意味相互運用性の向上が成功の鍵である。我々は、スキーマ部品化の理論をWebサービスで十分に扱うことが可能な程度の単純さで適用し、交換されるメッセージの概念を解釈し、自動的にデータ翻訳を行う新しいタイプの翻訳器を開発した。意味的なクエリーを可能にするストレージ.データ表現における意味的なギャップは、データ(記述者)とその利用者の間にも存在する。データとクエリー間のギャップを解消しながら、大量のデータを処理するストレージが必要となる。我々は、データタイプの同値類からストレージを構成する手法を提案し、その予備的な検証として数十万オーダーのデータセットによるパフォーマンス評価を行った。
