今年度に行った研究によって得られた新たな知見:1. シリア・レバノン系ブラジル移民以前の歴史的影響:(1)ブラジル旧宗主国ポルトガルにおけるアラブの長期にわたる侵入。(2)アフリカ系黒人の強制移住に伴うイスラム的分化の影響。2. シリア・レバノン系人のブラジルへの移住の経緯:(1)移住の6時代区分と各時代の特色。(2)ブラジル経済のサイクル(砂糖・金・コーヒー)と移民の行商活動との深い関係、それに伴う内陸部への分布。(3)行商活動の元締としてのサンパウロ市の商業中心地(中央市場周辺)での「トルコ街」の形成。3. シリア・レバノン系ブラジル移民の経済活動並びに社会的生活への関心の世代的変遷:(1)行商-商店経営-工業生産活動(軽工業-重工業)(2)経済的関心-分化・教育・医療的関心-政治的関心。(3)一貫して都市的活動と家族・地縁的結束の特色。今後の研究の展開に関する計画:1. 両系人の市政への参加:(1)都市における経済的・社会的・文化的活動が具体的に市政とどのように係わり合っているか。(2)代表的な両系出身議員並びに大学等研究機関の研究者の都市政策。(3)同化をめぐる問題。(4)共同研究者のメキシコの都市における異宗教・民族集団の接触に関する研究成果との比較。以上。

This year's research is conducted in the following ways:1.
