A study of Publishing Culture in East Asia Group G: "Publishing Information and Cataloging Studies"

Coordination Group G has two distinct directions: a time-honored tradition very strongly oriented towards Sinology catalog studies including fields that deal with related elements such as woodblock -print books and bibliographies, and fields related to the digitalization of books (Chinese classics), or rather issues related to the architecture of Chinese classics databases.This apparent underlying contradiction posed challenges for Coordination Group G. However, throughout these research meetings, the level of specialization involved in the book cataloging fields and information fields was extremely deep, and the difficulties of temporary collaboration between the two was again recognized.
