14〜15世紀に朝鮮で成立したと考えられる中国語教科書『朴通事』『老乞大』について、版本や出版事情の調査や、当時の東アジア地域で刊行された諸書籍との比較検討を行って、当時の東アジア、特に朝鮮における印刷・出版文化交流と受容の実態について考察する、というのが今年度の目的であった。今年度はとくに昨年度からの懸案である『朴通事諺解』の電子データを完成させ、公開するという計画は、残念ながら今年度も完成には至らなかった。ただし本文(漢字)および注(漢字およびハングル)についてはほぼ電子テキストとしてできあがっている。また、諺解(ハングル)については、すでに他の研究者によって作成されている(未公開)。また、『朴通事』『老乞大』の注釈書である『老朴集覧』についても、大部分を電子テキスト化しており、相互に比較対照できるデータベースの構築も間近である。今年度中には、公開する予定である。そして、『翻訳老乞大』『翻訳朴通事』と『老朴集覧』の編纂過程について、『老朴集覧』に収録された語彙の解釈と、『翻訳老乞大』『翻訳朴通事』の諺解における解釈の異動を比較検討することで編纂の順序などの問題について検討し、研究班B班の「第2回「善本」と「底本」談話会」(東北大学、2004年12月18日)でその成果について発表した。さらに本補助金の成果報告論文「『老朴集覧』と『翻訳老乞大』『翻訳朴通事』の成立過程に関する一考察」としてまとめた。また、『老朴集覧』に収録された語彙と、その『翻訳老乞大』・『翻訳朴通事』中での出現位置・頻度、などを調査することで、別な角度から編纂過程について検討できるのではないかと考え、そのうち「老乞大集覧」中の収録語彙と両書での出現位置・頻度を調査し、さらに旧本『老乞大』の調査結果も加えて、B班成果報告論文「「老乞大集覧、所収語彙と旧本『老乞大』『翻訳老乞大』」としてまとめた。
