The aim of the transfer project is to implement the results of SP A07 with regard to distortion minimization in an application-oriented demonstrator made of stainless steel and to investigate fundamental process principles and approaches for rail vehicle construction. The approach of distortion-reducing effects of LTT weld metal in a fillet weld was used to avoid buckling of the large-area outer shell sheets.
