项目摘要

2022年度は、ネコの言語能力の進化を調べるために、ネコの対ヒトに対するコミュニケーション能力および発声について、実験準備およびデータの取得を行った。コミュニケーション能力に関しては、ヒトの表情の理解を家庭ネコとネコカフェのネコで行った。家庭ネコに関してはすでに３０個体以上のデータを取得している。引き続きネコカフェでのデータ取得を行っていきたい。また、アイトラッキングを用いて、ネコが画面のどこをみているのかの実験を開始した。予備実験まで終了しており、ヒト用のアイトラッキングシステムを用いてネコがどこをみているのかの測定を行えることがわかった。引き続き、本実験を行い検証していきたい。さらに、ネコがヒトとのかかわりの中でどのようにコミュニケーション能力を獲得していくのかに関する実験も行っている。飼い主を飼育しはじめてから３か月間のネコと飼い主とのかかわりを経時的に調査している。行動テストやビーコンによる距離推定、内分泌、アンケートなどを用いて多角的な測定から実験を行っている。ヒトとのかかわりの中で発声が変化するのかに関する実験も開始した。この実験では、話しかけによってネコの発声が変化するのかを検証している。現在、測定方法の開発まで終わっているため、次年度は本実験を開始していきたい。
