Pre-Service English Language Teachers' Grit

本研究的目的是编制并验证一个职前英语教师毅力量表（PET-Grit），并探讨其与其他非认知变量之间的关系。这项研究的背景设在印度尼西亚。于二零二二年，该量表的开发及验证工作已完成。结果表明，新编制的PET-Grit量表具有较好的拟合度，可用于类似的职前英语教师培训。该研究第一部分的研究报告已提交出版，并在一次国际会议上作了介绍。此外，该研究的第二部分的数据收集，结构方程模型（SEM）的PET-砂砾和其他变量的关系的研究，已经完成。共有210名职前教师参加了本研究。目前正在撰写一份手稿，准备提交出版。

The purpose of the study is to develop and to validate a pre-service English language teachers' grit (PET-Grit) scale and to find out the relationship between PET-Grit and other non-cognitive variables. The study is set in Indonesia. In 2022, the development and validation of the scale was completed. The result indicated that the newly-developed PET-Grit scale has acceptable fit indices and is valid to be used for similar context of pre-service EFL teacher training. A research report of this first part of the study has been submitted for a publication and presented in an international conference. Additionally, the data collection of the second part of the study, a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)study on the relationship of PET-Grit and other variables, has been completed. A total of 210 pre-service teachers' took part in the study. A manuscript is currently being written to be submitted for a publication.
