项目摘要

本研究は、古代エジプトのグレコ・ローマ時代の宗教および関係する動物利用から、シェーン・オペラトワールの概念を用いて社会の一端を復元することを目的としている。ケーススタディとして中エジプトに所在する動物ネクロポリス、動物墓、動物儀礼の遺構を含む3つの遺跡（ゲベル・アシュート遺跡、ツナ・エル・ゲベル遺跡、コム・エル・ロリ遺跡）の共同調査・研究を行う。共同調査・研究に参加するのは、日本からは金沢大学のチーム（研究代表者および分担者の3名）、ドイツのルートヴィヒ・マキシミリアンス大学ミュンヘン（共同研究者）とベルリン自由大学、エジプトのソハーグ大学とエジプト考古省マラウィ市インスペクトレイトの研究者・インスペクターらである。また、考古学、エジプト学、パレオゲノミクス、地球物理学など異なる学問的伝統を統合し、文化遺産と記憶を調査・研究・保存するための総合的アプローチで研究課題に挑む。2022年度は、過去に行われたゲベル・アシュート遺跡とツナ・エル・ゲベル遺跡の関連データの確認及び再評価を行い、翌年度に予定しているのフィールド調査の準備を行なった。共同研究者らとは対面会議およびインターネットを通じた遠隔会議を行なっている。加えて、古代エジプトにおける宗教への動物利用に関する比較研究のため、ベルリンエジプト博物館収蔵庫に収蔵されている動物ミイラの調査を行なった。今年度はそれらのマクロの調査（肉眼による観察、計測、２D写真撮影）を行い、動物ミイラの動物種やミイラ制作の技術的な側面を上記３遺跡で出土する資料と比較する。

This study aims at restoring the concept of animal utilization and the concept of religion in ancient times.
