项目摘要

本年度は, 西表島仲間川, 後良川を主な研究サイトとし, この他に石垣島沖縄本島の諸河川で, マングローブ生態系の動態と保全について研究を実施した. 研究内容を, マングローブの成育と植生, マングローブ域の生物群集(魚類, ベントス, プランクトン, 微小藻類, バクテリア等)の動態, 生物生産環境(水質, デトリタス, 分解過程等)の3つに大別し, 分担者により学際的な研究協力が行われた. マングローブの植生図及びマングローブ域の食物連鎖図を作成した. また, マングローブ各種の成育環境(とくにPH-Sダイアグラムによる), デトリタスの存在量, 生成量及び物質循環等について総合的な知見を得た.備品としては, 投影レンズ, トレースマン, パーソナルPHメーター, 電子天秤, 冷凍ショウケースを購入し, 研究現場及び実験室でそれぞれ有効に利用した.62年12月18日には研究班の成果検討会を開き, 各分担者より3年間の成果を報告し, これについてまとめの討論を行った, さらに本研究の今後の展開についても討議した.63年1月13日の「環境科学」の研究発表会で, 代表者が本研究の成果について報告した. 今後各分担者により学会等でそれぞれ成果を発表する予定である. 3年間の研究成果は研究報告集「マングローブ生態系の動態と保全に関する基礎研究」(報告10篇, 157頁)にまとめて, 印刷した. これは広く関係者に配布する. なお, 印刷経費は総括班より支出された.

This year, we will conduct research on the dynamics and conservation of ecosystems in the Nakama-gawa and Go-ryakawa rivers of Nishimote Island, Ishigaki Island and Hondo Island.
