It is well known that Adult T-cell Leukemia/Lymphoma(ATL) is related to the infection of a kind of viruses and is observed in virus endemic areas(Southwestern Japan). Anti-ATL virus-assosiated antigen antibodies have been detected in the area of most patients and a reratevely high persentage of healthy individualas living in these areas. It is supposeed by epidemiological studies that the virus in transmitted by three main routes such as a blood transfusion, a mother to her children and a husband to his wife. The resultes was indicated Adult T-cell Leukemia/Lymphoma virus related-Antibodies were 251 out of 1,254 cases, or 20.0 % on average in Papua New Guinean sera.
